My Grandpa

My grandpa had a stroke last week. He'd gotten hungry during the night and went upstairs to get something to eat (they sleep in the basement). He thought he heard something outside and went to check. He came back in and got his crackers and his coffee. He thought he heard something again and went out on the porch with his pistol. He stayed on the porch for a little while and his arm started tingling. He decided he'd better go back inside. Before he made it to the door though, he passed out and hit his head on the AC unit in the window. He came to and tried to get Grandma to hear him but to no avail. He finally shot his gun up in the air a few times. She still didn't hear him. He managed to drag himself inside and bang his hand on the floor. His left side had gone numb so he was having a hard time getting around. She finally heard him and came to see what was going on. She ended up calling 911 and they took him to the hospital. Test results showed that he did have a stroke. He still doesn't have any use in his left arm or the left side of his face. His speech is slurred and he has a hard time swallowing. After a few days they put him on the rehab floor. He was there for a day or two until he had another stroke. They said that the 2nd stroke was a bleed-out of the 1st stroke and that the 1st stroke was caused from a clot. Thankfully the doctor doesn't seem to think he's any worse since the 2nd one happened. Please pray for him and Grandma both! I know he can't wait to be back home!!
