Catching up...

The boys are LOVING school. Elihu asks every day when I pick him up if he gets to go back tomorrow. Josiah is doing well...he's reading up a storm and loving math! He doesn't seem to enjoy the writing as much but he really enjoys drawing.

Isaac had his 2-month checkup this week. He weighed 12 1/2 pounds and was almost 25 inches long. He got 3 shots and an oral vaccination. He's run a low-grade fever but seems fine otherwise. He has been sleeping GREAT! He goes to bed and usually sleeps anywhere from 6-8 hours before getting up to eat. Then he goes right back to sleep and usually sleeps another 3 hours or so. Thank you, Lord!!

They put Grandpa back in rehab finally. I haven't been able to go see him for several days but mama said he's in very good spirits and is not complaining! Grandma is doing much better, too. The family has been staying with her pretty much 24/7. She seems to be a little more about herself and said she sure will be glad when everything is back to normal. Hopefully Grandpa won't be in rehab for more than a couple of weeks...assuming he doesn't have any more strokes I guess. He still doesn't have any use in his left arm or the left side of his face and he has a little trouble swallowing. Thank the Lord for improvement though!!

Now for a funny...the boys have watched Kung Fu Panda several times. One of their favorite parts is when the panda gets kicked in the privates and says, "Oh my tenders!!" They picked up on that REAL quick! Any way...the other day Shannon was saying something about eating buffalo tenders and how good they are. Elihu gave him this look and said, "You mean buffalo..." and pointed to his privates. It was truly a moment in time. He was horrified that someone might actually eat those. Shannon assured him that was NOT what buffalo tenders were. Then he wanted to know why they call them that. Who knows...

A couple of days ago I was in the kitchen cooking supper. The boys were watching Ice Age which has a mini-movie at the beginning of it. When it went off, Elihu was so disappointed b/c he thought the movie was over. I heard Josiah explaining to him, "No, that's just the appetizer. The real movie hasn't started yet." Elihu was like, "Oh, good!" So funny!!

Daddy's thumb is on the mend. Our friend Joann took the stitches out this week. It still looks gross!! For those of you who don't know, he cut a hunk out of it on the router in his shop. Mama took him to the hospital and he had to get stitches. It looked pretty bad!! I don't think it will ever look normal again...

We're having Youth Sunday at church this Sunday. The boys are so excited. They'll be saying some memory verses and singing with the junior choir. It's going to be a good day I think. Feel free to come and be our guest if you don't have somewhere else to go!! We'd love to have you!

Katie - Callie LOVES the Kung Fu Panda movie! They seem to say the word "impossible" a lot in the movie, and she always says it right along with them when she's watching the movie. She likes the monkey too. She tickles me when she's watching it. Glad the boys are enjoying school and Shannon is teaching them all about their anatomy.... LOL Miss y'all! Love you!
