Peeing and Pooping!!

I've been reading about potty training babies so I've decided to give it a whirl. So far Isaac has pooped in the potty 4 times in 4 days!! Hooray! He has peed at least once every day...sometimes several times. BUT I'm not stressing about it. I just take him whenever I think about it or when I'm heading to change his diaper. Some days he'll go all day and only pee one time in the potty...BUT...there's no stress because we're just trying to TRAIN him.

We have really been trying to notice when he may be having a BM so that we can get him to the potty in time. Two times were a complete surprise...we thought we were taking him to pee and he ended up doing both. Awesome! One time was a half and half (half in the diaper and half in the potty). Awesome again!! And the last time we actually caught it ALL in his little potty! I don't know if he realizes what he's doing but WE are sure excited! I've been trying to say "pee pee" or "poop" (whatever the case may be) when he is sitting on the potty. I've also learned the sign language for "potty" so I've also been using that whenever I take him. We are just so excited!!

Please don't think we are bragging because we most certainly are NOT. We are just thanking the good Lord for opening our eyes to something we COULD have done with the other 2 boys. I guess we'll see how we progress. Since I'm not really going to much trouble, it's not hurting ONE thing to try!

My Testimony

I was 9 years old and terrified that I was going to Hell when I died. I kept asking my mama questions about it. She would always just reassure me that I'd know when it was my time to ask Jesus in my heart. I went to Bible Camp that summer for the first time. The Lord spoke to my heart that Monday night during the preaching service through a sermon by Butch Lee. I didn't go down. I was afraid what the other kids would say...especially being new at camp and not knowing everybody. On Tuesday, I worried ALL day long because I KNEW WITHOUT A DOUBT that if I died, I'd open my eyes in Hell. So back in the service on Tuesday night, I could hardly wait for the preacher to give the invitation. Sure I was still nervous, but I knew I needed him more than I needed to be nervous! I went down and got my counselor by the hand. My friend Libby followed. We knelt outside on the sidewalk and I repeated a prayer after my counselor. I don't really know that it would've mattered the words I said because God knew what was in my heart. I got saved that night and haven't been the same since! He put a wonderful peace in my heart that nothing else in the world can ever replace. I thank Him for that sweet moment of salvation and pray that I can be an example along the way for those I meet. You know, you're never too old or too young really to be saved. If you feel God speaking to your heart right now, just bow your head, close your eyes, and ask Him to come inside your heart and make you clean and pure and holy and be your Savior. It's that simple. Then YOU can have that wonderful peace that passes ALL understanding!
