Rosco

We went and saw the puppy last night. He's a cutie! He's definitely growing. He chased the boys all around the yard. I think they had a good time playing with him. I don't know how I spelled his name the first time...I didn't take the time to go back and look...but my husband informed me that THIS (Rosco) is the correct way to spell it. He said putting an "e" on the end was the "girly" way. Just like a man...I tell you whut! We hope to bring Rosco home soon. We've got to get him "set up" with a pen and a dog house before he comes home. I told the boys that Rosco was NOT going to be tearing up my yard. I haven't worked hard in the yard for some little dog to make a mess of it in one day!

Wow! That sounded JUST like my mama!!! :-)

My Testimony

I was 9 years old and terrified that I was going to Hell when I died. I kept asking my mama questions about it. She would always just reassure me that I'd know when it was my time to ask Jesus in my heart. I went to Bible Camp that summer for the first time. The Lord spoke to my heart that Monday night during the preaching service through a sermon by Butch Lee. I didn't go down. I was afraid what the other kids would say...especially being new at camp and not knowing everybody. On Tuesday, I worried ALL day long because I KNEW WITHOUT A DOUBT that if I died, I'd open my eyes in Hell. So back in the service on Tuesday night, I could hardly wait for the preacher to give the invitation. Sure I was still nervous, but I knew I needed him more than I needed to be nervous! I went down and got my counselor by the hand. My friend Libby followed. We knelt outside on the sidewalk and I repeated a prayer after my counselor. I don't really know that it would've mattered the words I said because God knew what was in my heart. I got saved that night and haven't been the same since! He put a wonderful peace in my heart that nothing else in the world can ever replace. I thank Him for that sweet moment of salvation and pray that I can be an example along the way for those I meet. You know, you're never too old or too young really to be saved. If you feel God speaking to your heart right now, just bow your head, close your eyes, and ask Him to come inside your heart and make you clean and pure and holy and be your Savior. It's that simple. Then YOU can have that wonderful peace that passes ALL understanding!
